Above these descriptions, all levels of students are welcome to every class that we offer. Our Aim is to bring as many people to a yoga mat as possible.
It would be great if you could bring a yoga mat, towel and water, and dress in comfortable clothes.
By reading these descriptions below, you may find a style most suited to your needs. If you are brand new to yoga we recommend at first trying Basic (Hatha Flow), Slow Flow or Yin. We are here to serve you, always let us know of inquiries or limitations that you may be working with. All ages, all bodies welcome... always!
Keep in mind that because we offer these yoga classes on a DONATION BASIS, pay what you can. If you can afford more then $10.00 a class, that may allow someone next to you who can't afford anything to come and still allow our AMAZING, talented and HEART-FELT teachers to pay their bills and keep teaching you!
SLOW flow~
This juicy class is designed for new and experienced students alike. Slow flow is based on the principles of vinyasa. Moving with ones breathe and creating a "flow", but the emphasis is on moving SLOWLY and allowing the body and mind to deeply relax. Come explore creative therapeutic flows, followed by longer holding postures, and leave feeling relaxed and happy. Be prepared to release toxins (i.e: sweat~ please bring a towel and water).
VINYASA~
Sometimes referred to as the "yogic dance". Often accompanied by energetic groovy music, vinyasaa is the marriage of breathe and movement. In this class, the teacher guides students into a sequence of poses and then allows the students to move through it at their own breathes pace. Come discover why students around the globe are flocking to this energetic, yet relaxing style. Be prepared to release Toxins! (room is warm to get you loose).
BASIC (Hatha Flow)~
This is the perfect "back to basics" practice. With emphasis on moving the spine in all 6 directions and targeting all the areas where tension hides in our bodies. This is a great "new to yoga" class, midday lunch stretch, and just a wonderful way to get centered and feel GREAT!
YIN ~
This practice targets a deep connective tissue release. Longer holding postures that allow the muscles to relax, targeting the joints, bones and ligaments of the body. A yin pose encourages a deep release in the hips, low back, and internal organs places where we hold onto a lot of stress and tension. This practice will greatly increase over time, ones flexibility, as well as deeply relax the mind. Be prepared to move slowly and hold positions. Students are encouraged to dress super comfy (think your favorite sweats) and bring props if you have any (a yoga block, a blanket, a bolster or pillow if possible).
